I guess you didn't see the "WARNING:OLD MAN, OLD DOG, OLD GUN, NEW BULLETS" no trespassing sign, did ya? Or did you miss the "THIS PROPERTY PROTECTED BY SHOTGUN 3 NIGHTS PER WEEK. YOU GUESS WHICH 3" sign? Yeah, people will use a shotgun to protect there stuff, even if you just want a photo.
